New Year's Eve, after the Komets hockey game, is spent having the Allen family Christmas.

This was the year for a special gift from Grandma & Grandpa Allen and Uncle Caleb. They got their own hockey sticks and goals to play with. The goals were hand made by the three. The kiddos were very excited and knew just what to do.

Christmas Eve 2006

We always spend Christmas Eve at my mom's house for a light dinner, tons of desserts, singing Christmas songs & carols, and then we all take turns reading a portion of the Christmas story. My dad always designs the Christmas story from the prophecies of the Old Testament to the actual happenings of the New Testament.

Thanksgiving 2006

We spent Thanksgiving Day at the nursing home where my mom's dad is. They have a great activity room that we took over for the afternoon. It was lots of eating, laughter, entertainment, and fun. Aleah put on her first concert. They had a piano that her Grandma Amstutz played while she serenaded us with her songs on the microphone. It was her first experience with the microphone and to say the least, she loved it!!

October 2006

In October, Mom, Aleah, Bruce and I went to Fox Island to have a picnic and do some nature walking. The mosquitos were pretty icky so we didn't take too long of a walk. It was a beautiful and fun day together. This pic is from the nature center. Each step is made with a different kind of lumber.
