This week, Scott had the week off. Monday and Tuesday he spent the days with Aleah and Bruce while I worked both days, all day. Wednesday we went to the pool in the afternoon. Of course I've forgotten to take the camera both times we went to the pool this year. I hope to get one more trip to the pool in so I can get some pool pics. Thursday, we went to Fun Spot Park. It was a very hot day. We had hoped to spend about 5 hours there, but ended up only spending 3 hours. Even Aleah and Bruce were done when we told them it was time to go. There was NO complaining. :) We were surprised that Bruce could ride all the rides with us. Since he is just over 36 inches, he could go on the rides as long as an adult went too. That was not a problem since Aleah didn't want to ride alone even though she was tall enough to. Of course, they were fine in the kiddie area and needed no help from us. We've made some wonderful memories this week.

I thought this was so funny. First you see him,
Then you don't. See Bruce's hat? :)

Day at the Zoo
We spent a couple hours at the zoo on Monday, before picking up my parents at the airport. It was nice that Scott had the afternoon off since he had been gone for almost a week. Here is the newest ride, the Sky Safari. It is the first part of a huge makeover for the African part of the zoo. Not much to see on the 9 minute ride, but the kiddos liked it anyway. Thankfully, Scott had a hand on Bruce when he wanted to get out in the middle of the ride.
Unfortunately, I forgot that I was playing with the cameras options so the color accent was still on the first few pictures.
The jeep cars from the old ride in the African Safari area are now for playing in. The new African area will be called the African Journey.

Independence Day
We celebrated the 4th by going to Chain O'Lakes State Park. Dad read the Declaration of Independence to us to remind us of our great country's beginnings. We had a great time being together, grilling our food (burgers, dogs, brats, jerk chicken, corn, & s'mores), playing, digging in sand, and catching up on everyone's lives.
Mmmm...S'mores
I was playing with the color accent on my camera.
The beach...very coarse sand. Icky water. But the only beach they know.

Memorial Day
We spent the day at a county park with our small group from church. Aleah had a good time picking flowers in the grass and they both enjoyed the climbing thing.
